CELEBR8 GEPPETTO'S 8TH TOY STORE GRAND OPENING
**Particp8 in a free day of fun family festivities -
May 1st at Flower Hill Promenade, Del Mar**

SAN DIEGO - Children of all ages are invited to celebr8 the grand opening of Geppetto's, San Diego's locally-owned toy retailer, 8th store opening at 2670 Via de la Valle in Flower Hill Promenade on Saturday, May 1 from 11:08 a.m. - 3:08 p.m. Open and free to the public, guests will enjoy a GR8 day of children's entertainment, games, and prizes. To commemor8 the day Geppetto's will donate 8 percent of all store sales from May 1st to five San Diego non-profit organizations.

"The grand opening celebration is our way of saying ‘thank you' to San Diego for helping us grow from just one location in 1992 to eight stores today," said Brian Miller, president of Geppetto's. "The day will include many wonderful surprises including the unveiling of the new store's completed signature remodel."

Mother's Day crafts, games, opportunity drawings for GR8 prizes, music, lunch, and goody bag giveaways will guarantee a day filled with family memories and fun. The following magical entertainment will also enchant guests:

11:38 a.m. - Achilles the Magician
12:38 p.m. - J Company Scenes from Cinderella
1:08 p.m. - Puppet Show
2:08 p.m. - Mad Science Show

On Saturday, May 1st, customers at any of Geppetto's locations will enjoy refreshments and personally be able to designate 8 percent of their purchase to one of the following non-profit organizations: the Challenged Athletes Foundation; Jewish Family Services; Kids Included Together (KIT); Rady Children's Hospital; and Words Alive. To help piggybanks stay full all Geppetto's stores will be giving away GR8 Savings Booklets containing monthly toy specials and offers.

Children visiting Geppetto's are invited to test the toys with their families. Every store is designed to encourage children to scoot, jump, zoom, zonk, and giggle. Toy Experts make visits to the toy store easy by offering parents and grandparents age-appropriate toy recommendations. Geppetto's also provides complimentary gift-wrapping, and carry-out assistance.
